Technology

The PillAerator is a compact turbo compressor developed especially for aerobic processes. With state of the art technology the PillAerator raises the bar for energy efficiency and reliability.

Low Energy Consumption
A magnetic bearing alone is not a guarantee for an energy efficient turbo blower. Thanks to its gas-tight and water-cooled motor, the PillAerator reaches an efficiency of up to 84 %.

Reliability
The contact-free and lube-oil-free magnetic bearing operates completely wear-free. The maintenance for the PillAerator is reduced to the simple exchange of the filters.

Smart Controlling and Measuring

The PillAerator Controll is an essential part of the energy efficiency. It ensures an operating mode of the turbo blower with the best efficiency for the process. The continuous speed control enables a speed range from 0 to up to 30,000 rpm. Moreover, the PillAerator is equipped with a fully automatic Anti-Surge-System.

Via the touch-panel all operating parameters can be checked at the machine. The Profibus DP and analogue interfaces connect the PillAerator with the SCADA. The following values are continuously monitored by the PillAerator:

  • Volume Flow
  • Pressure Increase
  • Shaft Power
  • Temperatures
  • current operating point
  • System-Check
  • Differential Pressure at the Intake Filter
  • Operating Hours

The language of the controll is of course the language of the end customer.

The 150 kW series for a volume flow up to 8.000 m³/h (4500 SCFM) and the 300 kW series for up to 17,000 m³/h (9000 SCFM). There are three PillAerator models within each of the two performance series. Due to the different impeller designs of the drive units, each model provides different pressure and flow rates.

Air conditioning unit

With the right air conditioning unit, the PillAerator  meets the climatic challenges of hot regions, whether in the tropics or in an extreme and dusty desert climate. Smooth operation can be guaranteed up to an ambient temperature of 55°C.  

The air conditioning works by air circulation. Contaminations of dirt particles or corrosion due to high humidity and other external environmental influences are prevented.

The BrainBox

In case several PillAerators are operated together, our multiple-compressor control unit BrainBox is deployed. With this in-house development, it is possible to always have the ideal compressor combination. Not only the individual compressors are started or stopped depending on the demand the BrainBox always finds the ideal efficiency for all machines. This creates a unique combination of performance, energy-efficiency and flexibility.
